How to travel with paper map
There’s something grounding about traveling with a paper map. It forces you to slow down and truly connect with the place around you. Before you set off, take a few minutes to study the layout get a feel for the direction you’re headed and mark a few key spots. Highlight your route, circle interesting detours, and keep it folded to just the section you need. It won’t buzz or reroute you, but it won’t run out of battery either. And when in doubt, ask someone nearby. You’d be surprised how often a real conversation leads you to a better path than a GPS ever could.
